Desired Skills & Experience

 

  • Provide technical guidance and support for complex manufacturing production processes and perform complete die cast process decisions
  • Evaluate processes and identify potential cost and/or quality problems
  • Develop, recommend, and implement manufacturing process solutions
  • Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment
  • Understand how to develop a high vacuum process.
  • Maintain and develop robot programs
  • Develop and deliver technical training
  • Develop and maintain set-up documentation for production
  • Troubleshoot die cast problems
  • Perform machine capabilities studies, design of experiment
  • Maintain shot monitoring system
  • Provide written documentation of the process when required, including objectives, procedures, results, conclusions, and recommendations
  • Perform continuous improvement activities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive safety training program for die-casters and secondary production personnel
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the diecasting process
  • Well-developed mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills to maintain and troubleshoot equipment
  • Working knowledge of quality systems and processes
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to communicate, work and train a diverse group of people
  • Demonstrate ability to be hands-on
  • Ability to produce clear, concise reports used in process, system, or product analysis and/or upgrades, including objectives, procedures, results, conclusions and recommendations
